Kamala Harris vs Donald Trump Presidential Debate – Who Won? Taylor Swift Endorses Harris – Season 3 | EP 7
Description
Kamala Harris vs Donald Trump Presidential Debate
Donald Trump and Kamala Harris engaged in one of the biggest showdowns in the history of US elections – the debate that started with mutual respect and a handshake soon turned aggressive, with the duo countering each other on economy, immigration, abortion - and some personal attacks. Harris put Trump on the defensive in a combative presidential debate with a stream of attacks on his fitness for office and his myriad legal woes, highlighting Trump's felony conviction on charges he falsified business records.
Many analysts and polls have since crowned Harris the “winner” of the debate, which was held with a backdrop of polling that showed the two main candidates in a near dead heat both nationally and in a series of swing states expected to determine the outcome of the November 5 election.
According to a Reuters/Ipsos poll that closed on Thursday, Kamala Harris leads Republican Donald Trump 47% to 42% in the race to win the Nov. 5 presidential election and the CNN poll showed Harris winning the debate 63% to 37% among debate-watchers, while the YouGov poll showed her winning 54-31 among registered voters who watched at least some of the debate, with 14% unsure.
Taylor Swift Endorses Harris
Pop superstar Taylor Swift endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential candidacy on Tuesday night after the high-stakes debate with former President Donald Trump, calling the Democratic nominee a "steady-handed, gifted leader."
"I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election," Swift said in a post on Instagram to her more than 283 million followers. "I’m voting for Kamala Harris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos."
Taylor Swift's post endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for the White House on Tuesday drove 405,999 users to visit the site vote.gov over the course of the following day, a sign of the potential effect her decision to speak out could have on November's election.
