Kathy is a speech-language pathologist with a background in psychology, Special Education, communication sciences, and ABA. On this episode, Kathy discusses how she got involved in working with children with autism, what “theory of mind is” and what makes it so important, the concept of joint attention, how role-playing plays a role in language development, the interplay of emotions and perception, exercises to help children with autism develop better social skills and more.
