not sure we have to go back that far? sounds like there are questions from the last time he testified for his nomination to federal courts about having stolen documents? if you're a judge, shouldn't you always tell the truth when under oath? if not, how can you preside over others in a similar situation in your courtroom? officers of the court should be held to a higher standard than "regular" people, right?

The fact that he may have lied under oath is the point! Would you really want Supreme Court Justice to be capable of that?!?

The fact that people have to dig back to high school in order to destroy an otherwise well qualified judicial nominee, is very telling.
