Kentuckys new head coach, Will Stein, is rapidly assembling his coaching staff. Hes close to hiring Jay Bateman, Texas A&Ms defensive coordinator, for the same role. Bateman, a seasoned defensive coach, has experience at several SEC programs. Stein also brought in Joe Sloan from LSU as offensive coordinator. Batemans potential hiring would add a veteran presence to a relatively young staff.
