Description

WE'RE BACK! Like Sando says in the intro to this one, we just want you to miss us. More new episodes are on the way, Summer totally got the best of us. Granted we got the best of it too with pool days, beach trips and so many good vibes. Speaking of good vibes - you can practically feel them emanating from our guest today. Emily Gude is a fellow Fredericktonian, an absolutely amazing photographer, an artist and one of those people who you just can't help but smile around. We ask Emily about what it's like being a small business owner, her thoughts on weddings/wedding photography and we definitely talk about food. Her passion and talent (seriously go check out her Instagram) will leave you feeling all kinds of inspired.

Keeping It Real with April Reardon of Velvet Lounge Boutique, Bend in the River Farm & Da Mood Band
**Important editorial note - we mention our next book club meet up in this episode and clearly weren't looking at our calendars. Both of the dates we mention are incorrect. The event is Wednesday, April 18.** Probably one of our favorite interviews to date! This week we're sharing our conversation with April Reardon of Velvet Lounge Boutique, Bend in the River Farm & Da Mood Band. She's literally the definition of a modern day renaissance woman. In this episode, April shares the backstory of Velvet Lounge as well as how she started her floral business and became the keyboardist in her band. We talk to her about how she manages such a busy schedule, how she balances it all while being a Mom and her (awesome) food philosophy. And we really appreciated how honest she was about having to hustle sometimes, needing to find a creative outlet and what self-care looks like for her. Pour yourself a cup of something warm and comforting, put your phone on airplane mode and just sit back and soak this one up!
