Kongo (3/4): Being a Journalist
"Today with media, most stories you find out are trash talk: so and so said this, so and so denied and that's it. And then, you leave people without them understanding anything of what happened". It is this heavy realisation that led Gaïus Kowene, consultant and multimedia journalist providing his services to outlets such as BBC News Africa, to cover the "extraordinary stories of ordinary people". He is Elimu Podcast's guest for its "Kongo" series' third episode and gives us insight on his inspirations, the journalistic vocation and the difficulties of the profession in the DRC.
