I was so excited to tell her all about it. The pitch of my voice rose and fell to indicate my dismay and joy intermittently. My pace? oh I was racing! but slowly she began to loose interest, her face turning pale and attention shortening by each ticking second.
I still don't get your story, she said, impatiently. Maybe next time!
