Description

LSU Football opened SEC play with a 41-14 win over Mississippi State in Starkville. Jayden Daniels silenced a lot of the doubters going 30 for 34 with 361 yards, posting the best completion percentage (88.2%) ever for an LSU quarterback in a game with at least 25 attempts. Malik Nabers showed the elite level that the LSU offense can reach with career highs of 13 catches for 239 yards & 2 touchdowns. And even Kaleb Jackson showed dominance with some bulldozing plays. The LSU Defense looked much more fluid and completely shut down Mississippi State quarterback Will Rogers. Even without Greg Brooks and Omar Speights, Harold Perkins Jr., Whit Weeks, Jordan Jefferson and Savion Jones got the job done, stifling MS State running back Jo'Quavious Marks, who was the SEC's leading rusher entering the Week 3 matchup. Brian Kelly gave props to the Tigers for the way they played and mentioned that the level of competitiveness was much better compared to what the college football world saw in Week 1 vs. Florida State. Abby Alonzo and Joe Mitchell break down the LSU Tigers' latest win against the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Jayden Daniels stats vs. Mississippi State: 30/34, 361 YDS, 2 TD Malik Nabers stats vs. Mississippi State: 13 REC, 239 YDS, 2 TD LSU Volleyball travelled to Texas to play in the SMU invitational this past weekend. The Tigers swept both Texas A&M Corpus-Christie and Texas Tech, but LSU fell to SMU on Sunday. Jurnee Robinson, Jade Demps, Angie Lee and Maddie Waak led the team in stats. LSU Volleyball will begin SEC play against No. 21 Kentucky on Friday in Lexington. LSU Soccer opened up SEC play in Oxford on Friday and fell to Ole Miss 1-0 with the only goal of the night coming from a penalty kick. Head Coach Sian Hudson talked about creating quality chances instead of settling for shots from distance and acknowledged that LSU was the better team but just couldn’t convert. The Tigers will continue conference play on Thursday in Athens facing No. 23 Georgia. TIGER TEA! Joe Burrow now has his own flavor of Body Armor, which can be purchase in Baton Rouge, as well as Cincinnati. #LSU #LSUFootball #LSUSportsNews
