Description

Land acknowledgements can be a way to speak the names and honor the known and unknown Being's experiences connected to a living place. Áine McCarthy, a non-profit founder, chaplin, and yoga instructor offers a Touching the Earth land acknowledgement practice that weaves in a Thich Nhat Hanh Buddhist teaching.

The conversation centers around the layers of information we each can access to better understand and heal known and unknown traumas. Teachers such as Thich Nhat Hanh, Dr. Vandana Shiva, Sobonfu Somé, Harriet Tubman, and John O'Donohue are among those named and referred to in this conversation.

Other topics such as past lives, family constellations, blood lineage, anti-racism, cultural appropriations, and the impacts of colonialism are among the threads woven within this conversation.
