Alexis Bloom, director of The Bibi Files, told Al Jazeera that leaked police interrogations show Benjamin Netanyahu at his most unguarded. She said the tapes reveal a leader frustrated, angry and compelled to answer questions he usually avoids. Bloom described a “Wizard of Oz curtain-lift” exposing Netanyahu’s behaviour and the extreme conduct of his wife and son. She linked the corruption cases to a domino effect that culminated in the October 7 aftermath and Netanyahu’s attempts to weaken the judiciary. Bloom argued that the war has been politically convenient for Netanyahu, helping him delay court appearances. She said his dependence on an extreme-right coalition is rooted in his indictment and keeps him in power.
