Michaels called in to promote his new book, “You Can’t Make This Up: Miracles, Memories and the Perfect Marriage of Sports and Television.”
We ended up talking about a variety of topics, including the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, N.Y.; working with Howard Cosell on ABC-TV; and a really funny story about working on the set of the 1998 movie “BASEketball” with NBC’s Bob Costas.
