Based on the textbook definition, to recreate means “to impart fresh life to; refresh mentally or physically.” It also means, “to create (something) again, duplicate.”

As we experience the greatest public health crisis in our lifetimes, what does it mean for us to “recreate” during these trying times? For some of us, our attempts may remind us of Denise Huxtable’s infamous recreation of the “Gordon Gartrell” shirt, much to her brother Theo’s chagrin.
