Description
Pura Fé is a legendary and award-winning artist, musician, singer-songwriter, performer, and cultural activist. As an indigenous woman her roots go back to the Tuscarora nation of North Carolina and the Taíno nation of Puerto Rico. She is the founder of the Native vocal band Ulali and has performed with many musicians of international renown, including Neil Young and the Indigo Girls. Her music was featured in Robbie Robertson's album 'Music For The Native Americans' and in the soundtrack of the Native cult movie 'Smoke Signals'. Her latest and upcoming projects and work include a traditional drum circle and a musical canoe journey meant to bring an ancient form of traveling between and across the continents to the attention of the general public. She currently lives in Northern Saskatchewan, Canada.
