Outstanding Textbook
This is an outstanding textbook for Hebrews and the General ("Catholic") Epistles. It wins an "A" for substance and presentation.
(1) Substance: Really good judgment about what to include, clarity and honest when presenting issues that are debated (e.g., dating, authorship, pseudepigraphy).
(2) Presentation: Great editorial and design choices for a textbook. The book makes excellent use of sidebars and textboxes to treat issues and avoid interrupting the flow of the main text. The use of color and layout make this a handsome book--and approachable for students.
Four Stars
Thorough. Introspective. Engaging.
Hebrews to Revelations
I love the Letters to the Church Book Series. I have also read the Letters of the Church four Gospels, amazing book series. It provides maps, pictures, bullet points, vocabular and complete understanding. For someone without a strong bibical background, you will come to know the written word and come to your own conclusions. a MUST READ! ENJOYED IT.. Yah!
Excellent Reference Book
I purchased this book for a class that I am taking on line. It is an excellent reference book. The only thing I disliked is that the printing is small and on this kind of paper, reading is difficult.
I got this book for school. it's pretty good.
