On the mound, Brant Hurter earned the win with a dominant outing, delivering 5.2 innings of no-hit baseball while striking out eight. Tyler Holton earned the save, closing out the ninth despite a hit by Gunnar Henderson, who collected the Orioles' sole hit with a triple. The Tigers' pitching staff was phenomenal, combining for a one-hitter and thirteen strikeouts, stifling the Orioles' batting lineup effectively. With this victory, Detroit moves to 75-72 on the season, maintaining their fight in the playoff race.
