Either way you slice it Chris Marez is probably a monster. Just hearing him talk is appalling. He's most definitely involved and if not besides Jade he's probably done awful things in his past to other women. Narcissistic and sociopathic for sure.

That second trip to "visit his Dad" sealed his fate with his Dad. Dad was willing to "help" him with some things, but he is NOT the kind of man who goes to prison for any other human being. When his son was showing instability-- which he describes as "remorse", a 0lan started forming in his mind of how to save himself and throw his son to the wolves.
"Succubus" is quite a derogatory term, and dehumanizing. I am all for the possible benefits of microdosing LSD but if you are a sh$%%y self absorbed person with a giant ego, it is probably going to make you better at being a sh$%%y self absorbed person with delusions about how great you are. So he decided she was a "Succubus" and a "Vampire" and that his sh$%%y behavior and lies were all her fault (which is pretty typical of abusers anyway), and then somehow she ends up dead from violent blunt force trauma and buried in the wilderness in a shallow pre dug grave.

pretty much almost anything that comes after I swear to god this is the truth is going to be true, because they're swearing to God and telling you it's the truth....everytime Chris bio dad says this the shit that comes out is fucking unbelievable, I haven't heard someone so out for themselves in quite sometime. Especially by someone who can't see how apparent their lack of empathy is. It sounds like Chris hasn't exactly been held accountable for fuck all of any of his fucked up actions, for example pointing a gun at his then wife's head and pulling the trigger, and who is his confidant? That same woman. He might not have committed murder but he's far from innocent and sounds like he's pretty lucky his son killed himself before he got anywhere near him. So sorry for that beautiful woman's family and loved one's. So tragic.

I am soooo glad I Googled: "top serial podcasts"! What a coherent and detailed investigation; the evidence, the statements, the journey Chris took was explained very concisely. (It is amazing what podcasts are doing these days by delving into the stories they do...I am always SO overjoyed when they uncover new evidence and justice is served to these sons of bitches👏... I hope the police nail down the father's story and he gets what he deserves)
