It made sense that in 2013 when James McBride wrote a Historical Fiction Drama, “The Good Lord Bird,” he read it. Then, in 2020, when Ethan Hawke took on the title role and created a masterpiece of filmmaking for SHOWTIME with a mini-series based on McBride’s book, you better believe Zach watched! A series filled with powerful imagery, fantastic music and cinematography, and Ethan Hawke becoming John Brown, the “.44 Caliber Abolitionist,” this series was outstanding.
