But he stays clear of the Cigarette Smoking Man and, like the Lone Gunman, stays off the grid. In doing so, Zach rewatched the important “X-Files” episode that started it all. That’s right; Zach watched the pilot. Sure, he could have chosen many episodes, but there is only one that he nostalgically and emotionally wanted to dive into. Chris Carter’s show is a classic and deserves far more credit than it often gets. It is the gold standard for episodic monster episodes, season-long arcs, and cliffhangers that leave you feeling drained. When it comes to science fiction television shows, “The X-Files” is easily his favorite. So, save a spot by the “bubblah” and join the (re)Watch!
