Duckman and George ‘The Animal’ Peel are back to bring you news and show reviews in the weird world of pro wrestling. It’s a pro wrestling podcast, with a decidedly Scottish flavour. On the show this week…

We’ve got a weird show this week, or at least a weird opening half. The lads catch up and we learn George has FINALLY sold his flat and bought a new house! This has been driving George and his missus crazy for the last while, so this is big news in the world of Peelo. The lads bond over childhood traumatic memories triggered by songs and Duckman misses a bus in the most pathetic way possible. The lads talk Ronaldo going back to Man Utd and how it completely overshadowed the new of Man City player Bernard Mendy being charged with four counts of rape. The lads ponder (for too long) if Mendy’s offences qualify him for a place in the infamous MFX Nonce 11 football team.

Of course the big news of the week is CM Punk returning to wrestling after seven years with AEW. The lads mark out over everything about Punk’s début, talk all the fall out and reactions, what the future might hold and what kind of shot in the arm Punk’s arrival could have on AEW and wrestling as a whole. This is the biggest story in wrestling for a long time, so the lads spend a decent amount of time covering Punk’s return. It’s safe to say the lads are happy to see him back.

NXT is changing, and not just their logo. Could Takeover 36 be the last of the work rate super indy fed style of NXT? The lads review the show in detail. They love Cameron Grimes and Dakota Kai. Diet Miz and Vic Joseph yelling? Not so much. Plus the crowd sucks and so does the look of the show. But never mind all that, because this show has Duckman’s MOTY on it. Walter vs Ilja Draganov for the NXT UK Title. This match is insane. The hardest hitting, most intense, brutal and compelling match you’ll see anywhere. Incredible. The lads aren’t as hyped by Adam Cole v Kyle O’Reilly or the main event of Samoa Joe v Karrion Kross. It’s still a good show, but just not anywhere near the classic Takeovers of past years.

The show is wrapped up with a review of Summerslam, a show Duckman didn’t watch. That’s right, the man who loves wrestling can’t bring himself to watch WWE’s second biggest show of the year. Luckily George did watch the show and so for the first time, George takes the lead on a review on the show, and does a damn good job, obviously. George walks Duckman through the matches and returns. The lads do have plenty to say about Becky Lynch’s return and Duckman did watch Rollins vs. Edge. It’s a fun way to wrap up a show of epic proportions.

So sit back, relax and get some SATP goodness in your life. Thanks for listening, spread the word of the show and all that good stuff.
