"Because she wasn't white". I hear enough of this kind of stuff everyday just scrolling through various types of media. Not saying I disagree with it, not saying I agree with it. But I used to listen to this podcast to get away from such controversial issues. I also used to recommend this show to people because of this. You have proven me wrong. Extremely disappointing. I will have to find something else to listen to.

Relisha's Mother was probably getting drugs or money to let her go with the 51 wife murderer. Her mother should be held accountable for her neglect.

This one is is killing me as they bash society for letting this little girl "slip through the cracks" because she wasnt white. Straight naive millenial white bashing gag....the mom was obviously a drug addict living in a homeless shelter and the entire family didn't know or care where the little girl was at! What happened to personal responsibility?

relisha's mother was on a popular talk show and refused to take a polygraph test on pertinent questions on relisha's disappearance. relisha's grandmother...melissa and her father each passed. I heard nothing of this case. relisha was failed by craters of familial and public abuse and neglect...so sad!!

Could totally live without Brit's interjections. "Like" ....and also the "Wait... what?"

I like CrimeJunkie a lot, however I cringe when Brit talks...she uses the word "like" so much that I am distracted. It sounds hokey when the comments are merely repeating what was just said....much fluff.

I live in the DC Metro area and have been following this story since day one. Her maternal grandmother repeatedly asked for help from authorities but by the time they decided to look into it was too late. Her mom is the only one to blame in this case. Nobody in the family was in agreeance with the family taking her. Her mom is the sole culprit to Relisha's disappearance.

So sick of AA females not getting the same news and police coverage when they're missing. 🤬

Total BS. I'm willing to bet that her family knew and they may have even been pimping her out to this old man. This is just so tragic that 1. This little girl fell between the cracks and 2. Her being missing went unnoticed and was not widely reported by the news.
