I have to think, just in a hetero relationship, there are many stressors that lead to problems. in a same sex relationship, I can see more added stress, just because of society, and then even more in a transgender relationship. life already has the ability to push us to our limits, add more, is not surprising that the abuse goes us. also, you have to think about the fact it's REPORTED abuse. is it that there's more abuse in lgbtq community, or that they report it more? if I were being abused by a woman around my owm size, if more likely report it than if a huge guy did.
