This really wasn't the officers fault. Calls for service get broadcasted to every officer on duty. After each call they go to, officers are required to complete their reports on what happened. So it's not that those officers did other things before going. It's that no other officer in that zone of the city was able to go before the two that did. If the dispatcher had flagged it as something more urgent, like assault in progress, I think an officer would have arrived much faster.

why are we blaming everyone else but the perpetrator?! perhaps the family should be held accountable for not dragging her ass out of the crap relationship, but jesus not the police or call handlers that are just working
