A couple of things really stand out to me about this case - Brit is right, it is SUPER weird that Jody would leave her window down like she did. Very recently after a gang related MASSIVE shoot out took place in front of my apartment building and there were NO new reports on it, my apartment manager passed along that a police officer on the scene told her it would not be reported on because they tend to keep gang related violence under the radar to reduce risk of glorifying/escalating the issue with other gangs. To me, the fact that she already had an addictive/partying personality, was already trying to escape the emotional issues going on at home, got cash out, met somebody in a semi public area in the middle of the night and wasn't alarmed enough by the person she was speaking to to close her window and get away, this really seems to me like a gang/drug related situation. This could explain why the police don't want to put the face/description of the suspect out in the public. It could escalate the issue further if he's part of a gang/drug ring and is recognized. That being said, I think there is also something deeper in play if they are still trying to keep things under wraps TWO DECADES later.

it kind of sounds like a cop pulled up to her, you'd roll tour window down for a cop and keep it down and expect him to walk back to his car with you license????? hmmmmmm

People have to ask themselves and people of power in the Community need to feel the pressure of the supporters and people and act on it! Where is the Mayor on this and and ask yourself...why is the Mayor not helping out with this??

I am not surprised about Baltimore County police. This is just so sad that there is not more done about the corruption in this county. I grew up in Baltimore, there has always been corruption and unfortunately there always will be.

To me it sounds like the purp might be something like an informant for thr police. Or the purp might be tied to another case. Thats why the police dont want to prosecute the case. I dont know. I feel that the police is involved.

I wonder if it was someone in law enforcement. It doesn't just seem like they are covering their mistakes but more like they are covering for someone.

I think it was a drug deal gone wrong and the killer took the money for the drugs and the phone to get rid of evidence that proves she called him
