Description

On a cold day in March 2010, workers discovered a woman lying unconscious under the MacKay Bridge in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada - barely breathing and clinging to life. It was 31-year-old Holly Bartlett. Police say she walked almost a quarter of a mile from the front door of her condo building, where she crawled through a hole in a barbed wire fence, climbed a 20ft concrete cable abutment, and fell to the frozen ground below. But that theory makes no sense to Holly’s friends and family, who spend the next ten years trying to understand what happened to Holly Bartlett.

I have a feeling the taxi driver is involved or did it. Why not mention it the first time ?

Hey! I live in Halifax, always keen on Canadian cases. I appreciated the respectful coverage. One thing I kept thinking about the cabbie coming back to the building is that in 2010, cab drivers often didn't have the machines to take cards as payment. I was often buzzed in a cab where they took me to a gas station to withdraw cash to pay the fare. With Holly's vision and inebriation, maybe the cab took her wallet to withdraw cash for the fare nearby and then returned. Perhaps at this time Holly would have struggled to withdraw cash in her state.

Why are they so adamant about the police like trying to understand the "unique lived experience" of a blind person? This is police work, not sjw camp...

Good episode! Thanks, again for all the great episodes/stories. And all the time and hard work! So I was wondering how much did she drink? Did they test her? Was she so drunk she was blacked out? Because if she really was that drunk. She definitely could of done things thatz she didn't even know she was doing because she was in a black out. I think how much she drank really plays a big roll in this. And did they finger print the cane or any of her stuff, like the purse, wallet ect.. This was a sad story and outcome and it does leave you wondering. But least Holly lived her life to the fullest everyday. Which props to her! I couldn't believe all the normal things she does everyday, thats amazing!

Amazing episode. I have so many questions. I definitely believe either the taxi driver took advantage of her in some way because of her being blind or messed up in his treatment towards her because he was unaware of her being blind. What a mystery. Poor Holly, she sounded like an incredible soul, may she rest in peace🙏
