Description

National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was interviewed by Ken McQueen for MacLeans magazine in Canada on June 11, 2007.  Describing his magazine as the "Newsweek for Canada," this interview ocurred in reference to the ongoing reports of investigations into a group of Mormon polygamists living in Bountiful in British Columbia, Canada, who had originated but had broken away from the FLDS cult in the US.  The positive reporter was more interested in learning about polygamy in general and about whether Canada's anti-polygamy laws could really withstand a legal chellenge.  Explaining the different forms of UCAP, Unrelated Consrnting Adult Polygamy, Mark Henkel gave the soundbite, "In the modern era, no polygamist has been convicted, or even charged, where there was no other crime involved."
