This week, we're trying food from La Guadalupana Antojitos Mexicanos, located on Rt 50 on Bridgeport Hill, at 1005 W. Main St. Bridgeport, WV. They're an excellent small cafe with an impressive menu, as well as a Latin convenience store. Wonderfully open late: Mon-Thu 9 AM-11 PM, Fri-Sun 9 AM-1 AM!
Here's what we tried:
Esquites (Mexican street corn salad in a cup), Parrillada platter with black beans, grilled veggies, and rice, and pork tamales.
Then, Matt walks tall into today's tale of Buford Pusser, a Tennessee man who was a big-stick wielding sheriff, and if you believe him, one man wrecking crew of McNairy County. In the 70s that gained him hollywood fame and notoriety. But Matt relays recent new evidence that could paint a different picture, that Buford may have killed his own wife in 1967.
Also, Kelsey powers through a cold to talk about weird names, and Matt wants to marry his tamal. He also shares his obsession and love of Joe Don Baker. Never forget Ferd.
