Sunday evening sermon by Chase Surrell. The Pharisees were a religious group that Jesus often interacted with. When examining Scripture we learn that Jesus challenged his followers to rise above their example. Jesus wanted his followers to have a different righteousness, to give, pray, and fast with pure motives, and to have a different view of the lost. Let’s learn from the Pharisees and not fall into the same trap of having a self-seeking and self-righteous attitude.
