Welcome to Episode 18 for the launch of Season 2! We are back! This conversation is with Boston-based artist & animator, Maya Erdelyi about her many life travels and many layers of inspiration growing up in Queens, New York. Her experience growing up with the graffiti of the 80s on the subway, Pee Wee's Playhouse, Saturday morning cartoons, the immersion of color and being drawn to power places. Maya is a Professor of Animation at the School Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University in Boston.  Her work has been been shown in national and international film festivals, galleries, museums and DIY venues. She was a 2020 City of Boston Artist Fellow, the recipient of a 2019 Yaddo Residency, a 2017 Mass Cultural Council Fellowship in Film recipient and many more.
