My guest today is Merrit Hearing, a retired letter carrier whose life abruptly changed forever on July 3, 2007. It was on that day when his 16-year old son, Elliott, drowned at Cannon Beach after getting caught in a sneaker riptide. He writes about the whole experience in his book, “Lessons Learned from a Son’s Life…and Death.”
