On today’s Midday Report with host Terry Haines: The tiny Eastern Interior community of Healy Lake is the first in Alaska to go live with high-speed internet funded through the federal Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program. The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public input regarding removing protections for 28 million acres of lands across Alaska. And opinions vary about why Sitka is struggling to staff its police department.
