Mike Kim is currently a doctoral student/independent researcher at Columbia University TC. Before retiring with distinction from government, He was a Director in (RCS) readjustment counseling services at the VA Vet Center and started working with vets in 1993. He is a licensed psychoanalyst with over 20,000 clinical hours in war trauma therapy. Mike was also a Dominican Friar Monk and a veteran: He served in the National Guard, Coast Guard , Army, and the Marine Corps. He is an expert in veteran readjustment culture. He has written extensively about war/veterans. In this vid, Mike and I have conversations about the VA system, mental health approaches for vets, and how the military/vet culture impacts our lives after wearing the uniform.
