Description

President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday nominated a Minnesota native to serve as his defense secretary. 44-year-old Pete Hegseth grew up in Forest Lake. He's an Army veteran who ran against U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar in 2012. Hegseth is now a co-host of "Fox and Friends Weekend" on the Fox News Channel.

And a federal judge recently struck down a Biden administration policy that could impact thousands of Minnesota families with mixed citizenship status.
