Louis Molina, New York Citys Department of Citywide Administrative Services commissioner, is stepping down on December 31st, but will remain on paid leave until January 20th, collecting his full paycheck until his NYPD pension starts the next day. Molina, a former NYPD detective, served in various city agencies and will be succeeded by his deputy, Carolina Chavez. The incoming mayor, Zohran Mamdani, could potentially end the paid leave deal.
