Hasina Momtaz, a British-Bangladeshi and Muslim mother from South Norwood, Croydon, was shortlisted for Entrepreneur of the Year at the Muslim Women Awards 2025. After her son Samis tragic death in 2014, she founded Soul Gems London, a faith-inspired jewelry business. Samis dreams of making her life better inspired Hasina, and a proverb led her to create a pendant with a message of hope. She aims to expand her business and build a community for women, while also running a charity half marathon in Samis memory.
