A cold front will bring thunderstorms to the region today. Some storms may be severe this afternoon, especially east of Interstate 65. Locally torrential downpours and gusty winds will be the main threats. Days two through seven. Tuesday through Sunday. Isolated to scattered pop-up thunderstorms are possible mainly during the afternoon and early evening hours each day beginning Wednesday. The main threat from these will be isolated brief heavy downpours, in addition to lightning, which occurs with all storms. Spotter information statement.
