Mount Huashan is the holy mountain for Chinese nation. The “Hua” of China (in Chinese called “Zhong hua”)originates from hua shan, Therefore, Huashan is known as the “root of China”. Besides , Mount Huashan is regarded as one of the world’s most dangerous hiking place.

On Sep, 2017, I stepped into Xi’an during my holiday. On the 3rd day , I started my gorgeous thrilling Mount Huashan hiking tour. I took bus to there, there’re some transportation you can choose:

  • Form  Xian yang international airport : the airport is 138 km away from huashan, the expressway between the two places is fully connected, about one and a half hours to reach huashan.
  • High-speed railway from xi ‘an or baoji, and the stop is huashan north station, which is about 5km away from huashan. After getting off the high-speed railway, there is a special tour line to reach tourists in huashan or yuquan courtyard in huashan.
  • Passenger vehicles: in xi ‘an city east (tang du) bus station (address: changle middle road no. 17) there are vehicles to huayin, the first class 7:00 , the last class: 19:15 , about 15 minutes, on the way to stop at the huashan stop.
  • By special line bus at the railway station

My route: north peak (yuquan courtyard)—-east peak—-south peak—- west peak—-north peak (yuquan courtyard).

Start the deadliest hike

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

North peak

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

Finally we arrived the North peak

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

North peak , Yuntai peak.  We saw the stone tablet “华山论剑” which is inspired by Jin yong. I thought there was only one this written stone in huashan, but finally it’s on  every peak. Such excited to view this, after all,  Jin Yong is my favorite master of  Martial arts novels.

East peak

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

At the narrowest point of sorong ridge, only two people can walk at the same time, and it is very steep.

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

After passing the Golden lock, it is not far from the east peak. when went through the clound ladder, we could reach East peak and have a good view for sunset.

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

South Peak

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

Down the chaoyang peak, not far ahead is one of the wonders of huashan kite over. It took us 1 hour to hike over this wonder.

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

Next is one of the most thrilling moment—cross over the sky road !!! It took two hours to queue up. It’s a good time for us to keep power for crossing the dangerous sky road .

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

Here is the highest peak. The child in the picture is only 7 years old we met in the sky road. Brave baby!!!

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

West peak

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

Down from the south peak to the west peak, the original plan was to go to the west peak by cable way ,but we gave up this plan due to the heavy frog . Hahaha, continue hiking!!!

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

At that time, the fog was thinner in some places, and Huashan looks more magnificent!

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

North peak –Down the mountain

All the way down, down to the sky street, which is the north peak cable way down the mountain.

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

It was almost 3 pm when we came down. After a short stay, we hurried to the high speed railway station.

<figure class="wp-block-image"></figure>

Ticket price:  Peak season (March 1 — the end of November) : 160 yuan/person/time

Low season (December 1 — the end of February the next year) : 100 yuan/person;

ticket validity: 2 days

  • Tips: Better plan 2 days for Mount Huashan tour, and bring a coat to warm yourself when climbing the peak.
