The tale follows Mrs. Claus, the spirited wife of Santa Claus, and her adventures leading up to and during a magical Christmas Eve sleigh ride with Santa. We learn about Mrs. Claus's backstory as a young girl named Noelle growing up in a Scandinavian fishing village. Noelle is gifted at crafting toys and always dreamed of meeting Santa. One year, Santa's sleigh crashes near Noelle's village on Christmas Eve. She helps rescue Santa and repair his sleigh, and Santa offers to let Noelle and her new husband Kris Kringle visit his North Pole workshop.Upon arriving at the North Pole, Santa asks them to stay on as new keepers of the workshop. Noelle takes on the mantle of "Mrs. Claus" and helps organize the gift inventory and cookie baking operations. After decades diligently supporting Santa from home on Christmas Eve, this year Mrs. Claus will finally ride along for the worldwide trip to deliver presents. She eagerly anticipates seeing different holiday traditions across the globe. As they take off into the night sky, Mrs. Claus is filled with nostalgia and wonder at the magic of it all. We learn she continues joining Santa on his gift-giving journeys for centuries to come.
