Vanessa has been having a long-distance relationship with her boyfriend Jerry for two years and is finally convinced to move the three hours to live near him after he gets her a job at his firm. After she arrives, she finds out who Jerry really is. He stays out all night partying with his friends and shirks his responsibilities. After finally working up the courage to leave him, he threatens her. Her friend Hayley helps build her confidence to leave him. Hayley uses her newly acquired accounting skills to catch him stealing from his business clients and firm and gets offered a job in the process.
