Description

Every Monday we will venture into the thoughts and voices of those in the Christian mystical tradition in five minutes or less!

In the third Mystic Monday episode we hear from the Carmelite nun, reformer, and contemplative mystic Teresa of Avila. The selection for this episode comes from a very short poem she wrote that titled “Laughter came from every brick.”

“The poems of St. Teresa always speak of God. They speak of Him as something as natural as the air one breathes. She does not tender fanciful arguments to prove that God exists. Her poems express to us the reality of God himself because she herself has found Him.”
