Na Geansaithe Móra - Leabhar mhí an Mhárta 2024 | March's Book of the Month 2024
Update: 2024-02-19
Description
[English version below]
Buaileann bean ghalánta le seanabhean ar an dtraein, ach ní mar a shíltear a bhítear.
Téann cailín óg ag siopadóireacht, is gan ’fhios ag éinne cá luíonn an bhróg uirthi.
Braitheann bean teanntaithe san óispidéal, ach nuair a thagann a fear céile ar a tuairisc, ní aimsíonn siad na focail chuí.
Ceithre splancscéal is tríocha atá sa chnuasach so, iad go léir faoi bhun 1,000 focal. Pléann siad le réimse mór téamaí i saol na mban, idir chumha is ghrá, idir uaigneas is dóchas. Insintí géara gonta, go bhfuil tús, lár agus deireadh leo – cé gur minic go dtosnaíonn siad i lár baill nó go gcríochnaíonn siad go luath. Tá an leabhar so ag cur thar maoil le carachtair bháúla, agus splanc léargais nua á fháil acu ar an saol.
Tugtar cuireadh duit teacht ag spraoi ar feadh tamaillín i saol na splancscéalaíochta.
Láithreoir: Seán Ó Catháin
Aíonna: Lisa Nic an Bhreithimh agus Bríd-Treasa Ní Ghaoithín
[Leagan Gaeilge thuas]
A glamorous woman meets an old lady on the train, but not all is as it seems.

This collection comprises of thirty four flash fiction stories, all of them under 1,000 words. The look at a wide range of themes in women’s lives, from sadness to love, from lonliness to hope. They are short snappy tales that have a beginning, a middle and an end – although they often start in the middle of the action or finish early.
