New Heaven and New Earth, Temple Curtain, and Yahweh
Description
1. When the Bible talks about a coming new heavens and new earth, is the new heavens referring to space or where God lives?
2. How did the Jewish leaders explain the temple curtain being torn in Matt. 27:51 ? With the size of the curtain it presumably would have taken a long time to remake as they couldn't have just stitched it up since it must be one piece of fabric. So likely there would have been questions? Also it's interesting that we have the detail the curtain was torn top to bottom so likely an eyewitness one of the Priests or the High Priest going and telling it happened?
3. We studied the names of God, specifically Yahweh (Hebrew). But as we continued to study variants on that name it was, for example, Jehovah shalom. Why that Greek/Hebrew combo instead of Yahweh shalom? (Hebrew/Hebrew)
