How to study the BIBLE: I. The Birth of Isaac, and the casting away of Hagar and her son Ishmael. The reason: Ishmael began to tease Isaac, and saw the trouble that it could bring, so to prevent it Sara asked Abraham to cast them away or to cut them out. Although it troubled Abraham to do it, and he grieved over to do so, but God told him to listen to his wife, and he did so (Genesis 21:10-14). Today God may cast, cut or pruning things or people out of our lives, because he see the trouble or the blessing (Romans 11ch.).
