Description
The word OBEY does not exist in Indigenous languages. Our ancestors lived by their own systems of governance that sought to maintain harmony among all living things. The concept of obedience was forced upon us by church and government authorities. It slowly took hold and changed both our way of life and our way of governing ourselves. The time has come to consider regaining our sovereignty and reclaiming our original ways of decision making.

Why the CBC thinks it's OK to crap on the military, especially when it's clear the host has zero knowledge of how the military works, is beyond me. Shame on you all. ...but I guess she needs to make herself feel better by pretending she's some sort of warrior which is supposedly better than being a soldier, never mind that "warriors" where and are far more likely to commit atrocities. Here's an idea for next season. Why don't you talk about the Lachine Massacre and how those brave free thinking Mohawk warriors massacred over 240 men, women and children?
