The knowledge we gain and principles we learn can be applied usefully. That’s where Solomon takes us in Ecclesiastes in the last division of his argument. God is the only way. There is nothing outside of the scope of God’s sovereignty. He’s the boss, He’s the King and all of our struggles are under His control. That is supposed to free us up. Yes, the presence of sin and death in this world is the most perplexing of all of life’s puzzles. But, remember that sin and death do not frustrate His sovereign plan. So if you belong to God, get on with your life, make the most of every opportunity and enjoy life.
