Update: 2024-09-11
Description
The Ohio State Buckeyes cruised to another win to open the 2024 season after crushing Western Michigan 56-0 in prime time at Ohio Stadium. It was Ohio State's first shutout since 2019 The running back duo of TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins was on full display as the two combined for nearly 200 rushing yards and four scores. Freshman sensation Jeremiah Smith dominated once again with 119 receiving yards and a 70-yard touchdown on just five catches. The defense was stifling even after star corner Denzel Burke was ejected in the first quarter, as they held the Broncos offense to just 99 yards of offense and tallied three sacks through their pass rush, including the first of the year for senior Jack Sawyer. With the Buckeyes firing on all cylinders on both sides of the football, the team was able to cruise to their 2-0 record with tons to be happy about in the win. With so much going right for Ohio State, the question is what stands in their way to more success?
