My favorite team in my favorite sport has made it to the Eastern Conference Finals. That’s something they haven’t done since 2000. During the broadcast of the first game, the commentators are making all kinds of references to how long that is. It’s crazy because I have been collecting, relatively seriously, for just over 25 years. I’ve spent at least an hour or two a day since I began, doing toy runs, reviewing articles, researching lines, and the best part, opening toys. Not to mention doing the podcast for over 16 years. I’d say I’m easily at the 20,000-hour mark. All dedicated to this amazing hobby. It’s absolutely mind-blowing. Is there anything you can think you’ve done for longer? Except for maybe also collecting 🙂

I love that all my favorite things this time around are relatively new lines. The oldest one is Droid Factory. Some may consider it a close relative of the Vintage line, but their Disneyland 70th Anniversary Astromech is a great tribute. While Origins has been around a while, I’m happy to hear a new 200x subline is coming. Blokees is just killing it in their few short years. Their new Action-scale Soundwave looks amazing. Finally, not a toy line, but something new I’m trying to stay positive about, unlike my co-hosts, is the new AAA Snake Eyes game.
