There's three man-made holidays we could really do without and since we have sprung into February, let's start with Black History Month. The Father of Black History, Carter G. Woodson, first came up with the idea of Black History Month back in 1926. But at the time, it was introduced as Negro History Week and was the second week of February. In 1976, it became celebrated for the entire month of February, due to President Gerald Ford. And ever since then, we are celebrating black history month every year. And the other 2 holidays, we'll get into that.
