With the addition of Pete Dunne, Sheamus and Ridge Holland's tag team became a three-man villain group in an unexpected change of events. Pete Dunne debuted under the newly permitted ring moniker Butch on the March 11 edition of Friday Night SmackDown from the Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama.
Holland and Sheamus were repurposed on SmackDown's prior show into a humorous feud with Kofi Kingston and Big E over Big E's damaged ATV after Cesaro's recent, silent release. In a rematch against Big E and Kingston, they added Butch to their ranks as retaliation for the rivalry.
