In this incredible episode, we have the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Ed Avinger where he talks to us about what it was like being a biracial kid in the housing projects of North Jersey.  He speaks about the physical abuse he endured for not being black enough in the black community or white enough for the white community.  He speaks about struggling with his identity and how growing up in a dysfunctional home affected him mentally.  Through all the chaos, he managed to complete his doctorate degree and provided some valuable lesson on how finding mentors in his youth attributed to his success in life.
