Podcast 45: All's (Kentucky State) Fair: The Ouita and Chris Report
Description
Chefs Ouita and Chris have their own proven paths through Kentucky's immense, noisy, greasy, happy, food-drenched state fair. They cherish the agricultural and food exhibits: mules and jacks, pigs, prize-winning country hams and sorghums, gorgeous made-from-scratch cakes, quantities of garden produce and foods from Kentucky's forests.
By tradition, each Ouita and Chris (and Willa) trip MUST begin with a Pat's Best Dressed (Hot) Dog, a Kentucky Fair institution since 1966.* (Chris and Ouita take theirs Chicago style.)
We published a few of chef-radio host-turned photographer Ouita's 2016 State Fair images here. Enjoy our juicy, sticky, yummy, pawpaw-and-persimmon drizzled debriefing of the 2016 Kentucky State Fair, chef-style.
